Bonneau Wine Wins 5 Medals at 2007 Chronicle Competition
John Bambury from Bonneau Wines just notified us that Bonneau (and its sister brand Egret) received no less than five medals at this year’s San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.
Bonneau and Egret’s winning wines included:
- 2004 Bonneau Chardonnay “Catherine’s Vineyard” Los Carneros - Double Gold Medal (meaning all of the 55 judges rated it as gold)
- 2005 Egret Los Carneros Chardonnay - Gold Medal
- 2005 Egret Amador County Zinfandel - Silver Medal
- 2003 Bonneau Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon - Silver Medal
- 2004 Bonneau Shenandoah Valley Zinfandel - Silver Medal
This year’s competition took place in Cloverdale, California during the week of January 8, 2007. Fifty-five professional wine judges — representing trade, education, media, retail, and restaurants throughout the United States — evaluated 3,800 wines entered by 1,572 wineries from 20 states.
The judges were impressed with award winners but also noted that the overall quality of all the wines entered was very high. All Gold and Silver medal winning wines will be presented at the San Francisco Wine Competition Public Tasting at Ft Mason on February 24, 2007.
A hearty congratulations to Bonneau for their impressive performance! We’re proud to be featuring their wines on our site.
