Coral Mustang's mission is unique - producing only Tempranillo wines from select vineyards. This noble grape varietal from Spain produces world-class wine, suitable with a wide variety of food pairings. We are making single vineyard designated Tempranillo as barrel-aged and Rosé wines. With the rising popularity of Tempranillo and the ever increasing plantings here in California, we search out the best vineyards and are dedicated to producing the highest quality wine that expresses those vineyards and locations.
Tasting Notes
This wine has bright fruit flavors and aromas of blackberry and blueberry. Smoke and vanilla take a light hand in rounding out the fruit, producing a wine that is not only fun to drink but very food friendly. The finish lingers on the tongue with blueberry and caramel. Balanced with good acid, this is a versatile wine with food - something that I like to see in wine!
This wine was aged for 11 months in 90% neutral barrels, 10% new barrels. Decant this wine and enjoy it with your favorite lamb or beef dishes and hard Spanish and Italian cheeses.
