Full and slightly sweet, but with good acid

Color: Orange/Salmon-pink with very noticeable tartrate crystals Nose: Strawberry, with some spicy oak and some other sweeter smelling red fruit. Has a little bit of fresh garden herbs, as well. Palate: Good and medium-full, but comes off as a little sweeter than anticipated at first. The acidity kicks in quickly though not quite racy. This is more of a fuller-style of rosé and not quite dry, altho the slight oak and acidity provide a good enough balance to make it refreshing in the finish, including some tarter raspberry and those herbs. This was a round and full wine, with aromas of juicy strawberries and clean, crisp wet stone. While some rosés can have a strong note of watermelon candy or Jolly Ranchers, this one did not have any melon in the aromas or flavors. Instead, your tongue tingled with the flavor of those tiny strawberries you are sometimes lucky enough to find growing wild. Made with 100% organic Syrah and Grenache grapes, this wine has 14.1% alc/vol, so it is not a wimpy or small wine by any stretch of the imagination. Very good QPR.

I swear I took a picture of this wine. I remember taking the pictures. But it's not on my memory card or loaded into my computer, so I'm stumped as to what happened to it. Apparently this is the week of lost wine pictures.

On the nose I found strawberry, lime, and kiwi...I wish I had my picture, I especially recall noting the cool salmon color of this wine...In the mouth the wine showed strawberry, lime, and watermelon.

Overall, the wine was quite fruity, but it had good acidity and structure so the fruits weren't sweet, but nice and tart. In my ever so eloquent notes, I described the wine as "Yummy!" and I really enjoyed the fruit qualities in the bottle. This is one I really enjoyed, especially for the price, and have already added to my Q again!

Read my full review in my blog post, Losing Pictures (and my mind apparently).
